My Mini Version

The recent challenge at Creative Confetti Challenge is to use a creation of your own to inspire a "mini" version.   I chose to be inspired by a recent card (shown below) that I made using Power Poppy Apple in Season digital stamp. I resized and printed one of the images of the Apples on white cardstock and colored with Copics.  I trimmed this to 4"x 4", inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Marker and attached to a Green Card Base 4.5"x 4.5".  The sentiment from another Power Poppy digital stamp was printed the same time that I printed the image.

Apple Blossom Time

Hello!  I have created another one of the Slim Line cards that are trending now.  I resized and printed digitals images and a sentiment from Power Poppy Apple in Season set on white cardstock.  I colored the images with Copics using some pencils for highlights. I trimmed this to 3.75" x 8.75" and inked the edges with a Pilot Gold Metallic Pen. I attached this a white card base 4" x 9". I really like how my coloring turned out....looks even better in real life.

Harvest of Apples

Welcome!  This is a great time for Harvesting Apples....so many choices to choose.  As you see in my card above I have 3 bushels featuring 3 different types of Apples.  I was inspired by the Twofer Card Challenge #10 Harvest to create the cards above using Bushel of Apple stamp (Gina K Design) for a birthday card and another card for Thanksgiving.  I used Gina K Design stamps for the sentiments on the birthday design and  a Mark Finest Papers sentiment on the second.  I used Memento Black Ink for stamping and Copics for coloring.  I had thought I was finished with the harvest card on the right.....just had the apples and sentiment on the strip of dotted paper (shown below).  But when my DH saw it, he said it was not much of a harvest and should have some corn on the card.  So I went back to the drawing board( so to speak) and came up with digital image of corn that I printed in various sizes and colored with Copics to make it colorful Indian corn. Fussy cut and added it to the bushel of apples.

An Apple a Day....

Hello!  Playing with a bushel of apples.....a Gina K stamp that is.  Stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  Added a strip of  Green CS to a White card base, stamped the sentiments from Mark's Finest Papers with Red inks, and attached the fussy cut Basket of apples.

Harvest of Memories

Welcome!  I have another card for Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday challenge inspired by the photo on the left.  I chose to use Black and White Gingham ribbon for a bow on this card.  The stamps used are from GKD's Harvest of Flowers (Basket of Apples and Sentiment), A Year of Flowers (Sunflower), and Botanicals (Berries).  I used Memento Rich Cocoa ink for stamping and Copics for Coloring.  Glossy Accents was added to the basket for a bit of texture.   I thought I was finished with just the basket and sunflowers but added the berries after I made the first photo shown below.  When I looked at the first photo, I thought it needed a bit more and the berries was just the right touch needed to complete the card and picked up the berries from the inspiration photo.

Book for Good Friends

 

Welcome!  Today I have a card that was inspired by the Photo Challenge at The House That Stamps Built shown lower left.  When I saw the yellow ruler in the photo, I remembered some leftovers of a tape measure that I created for a card some time ago-I had scanned an actual tape measure and then printed out my own patterned paper.  Once I found the leftover "tape", I began my card.   I decided to create a Blue Book titled "Good Friends" with Blue and White CS with an insert of Fun Foam and placed the ruler inside for a book mark.  The card evolved into a Birthday card when I decided to make the book open to reveal Happy Birthday on the first page using a Repeat Impressions stamp.  I added magnets (recycled from an advertising brochure) as a closure for the cover.

I used a Red Card Base with a layer of Green CS and a layer of White CS embossed with Gingham EF (to pick up the colors and texture of the cupcakes in the photo). All stamps are from Repeat Impressions.  The apple was cut freehand as a finishing touch to the cover.
