Playing with Gingerbread

Hello! Welcome to my latest paper projects!  I baked up some Gingerbread items including a card and some tags.  I used a recent purchase from Power Poppy - her Gingerbread Family digital stamps and a sentiment from Chickadee in Barberry set.   I created the above card by printing out the GB House with the GB Couple and Sentiment on white CS and coloring with Copics and adding accents with White and Red Berry Gloss Nuvo Crystal Dots.  Placed this on a Fresh Asparagus Green Mat and a card base of Red Velvet.  Aren't they the cutest Gingerbread Couple?
Above is the first tag that I made with the Gingerbread Man using pretty much the same supplies as the card. The I created another pair of tags shown below.  Love how the Crystal drops look like icing. Fun to make!  Tags finished with Eyelets and Baker Twine for tying and mats of Red CS.

Another Lighthouse

Hello!  I have not seen many lighthouses in person but I enjoy the different shapes and designs.   I came across this Just For Fun Stamp when I was looking for a Lighthouse stamp and thought I'd use it for another card with this theme.  I won this stamp in 2010...nice to have a post on my blog to remind me of the date.   I tried to color in a way to make the bricks appear to be old.  Used some pattern paper from Graphic 45 pad, yellow CS for base, some red eyelets from stash. Cannot remember the last time I used eyelets on a card. The GKD Sentiment was heat embossed with red EP on clear vellum and cut with label die.  I also used a Spellbinder die for the image.

 Challenges:
Crazy 4 Challenges: C4C343 Honor lighthouses on your card.
Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Summer/Holiday Destination-lighthouse by the sea.
Retro Rubber Challenge: #42 Brads and Eyelets.  I won the Lighthouse stamp in 2010 in a card challenge.
Addicted to Stamps: Challenge #201 Anything Goes.
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: July challenge
Mod Squad Challenge:  Lazy Days Of Summer---another lighthouse entry.

This one is for you Dianne.

Made My Own Background with a Tag

Hello!  I love the bright colors that I used in this Birthday Card and  Tag.  Using GKD Stamps from the Stippled Nature set, I made the background with Memento Rose Bud and Cantaloupe inks....love this combo of colors.  After embossing with a Darice EF Floral Frenzy, I placed the background on a Pink Card Base and attached the tag that I made with the same stamp set and ink colors.  Used a GKD Quicklets Eyelet to make a place to add Rose and Yellow Satin ribbons to the tag.

Challenges:
Stamp TV: Mix It Up Monday STV15MON23- Own Your Background
Mod Squad Challenge:  Barbara's challenge is I am Tagging You.
City Crafter Challenge Blog: #265 Make a Tag or project with a Tag.

Time for another challenge from Speedy Fox and Friends.
Number 126 is to make a Tag.  That's easy enough! Please join us this week and you could win a stamp from Mark's Finest Paper, a Heinrich Co.
The hardest part of this challenge was deciding what kind of tag....Christmas, Fall,etc...but I decided to make a Birthday Tag to use on a present. I love flowers and nature so I used  MFP's "Daffodil Greetings" which has beautiful flowers and a lovely butterfly.

Challenge:
A Blog Named Hero: Incorporate a tag

              Yellow and Oranges for Butterfly
Papers: Ivory and Texture Green CS
Dies: Nesties Label 4 ( Modified to extend length)
Corner Punch
Yellow Eyelets, Yellow Ribbons

You have until 3PM on Friday, September 28, 2012, to enter this challenge. If you use Mark Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. stamp,  your name will be entered into the drawing twice.
