Haunted Spooky House

Booo!  Today I am sharing a couple of Halloween cards that were made in the same way but with some minor changes.  I used a Just For Fun stamp Haunted House Silhouette that I just received (won in a challenge).  The house was stamped with black ink and embossed with Clear EP and then I sponged the background with Distressed Oxide inks Faded Blue Jeans, Peeled Paint,  and Black Soot using masks. The moon was sponged with Fossilized Amber.  I colored in the windows and door with Copics and added shine with a lacquer pen.  Added words cut with Cottage Cutz dies. The first card that I made, shown below,  was spritzed with Gold Shimmer mist but I used too much.  I added just a bit of the mist to the top card by spritzing on a paper towel and dabbing it on the card so I could control the amount.   Used Black textured card base on the second and Gray textured card base on the first.

Dove of Peace

Hello!  I really like the card (shown below) by Brigit that is the Card to Case this month at Happy Little Stampers.  I took a lot from her design including the script background, stamping on the background, the die cut bird, the die cut panel, and the layout.  I changed up the colors and theme.  I had planned to add some distressing on the edges of the background but forgot that step.  I really like the finished card and plan to use this for Hanukkah and will be making more.
Supplies: Dies-Cottage Cutz Dove and Spellbinders Devine Eloquence; Stamps-Gina K Designs Peace & Joy and Birds & Blossoms; Paper-7 Gypsies Pattern Paper, GKD Little Boy Blue CS, Glossy White CS; Copics; Memento Bamboo Shoots Ink; Foam Tape.

Do You Smoosh?

Hello!   I have been smooshing to make this card!  No, not smooching!  I played with some distress inks and a piece of acetate to create this colorful design using watercolor paper and the smooshing technique.  For more information on smooshing, check out the January CAS Challenge at Happy Little Stampers.  I used a piece of craft foam to raise the water color panel.
Supplies used: Ivory CS, Water color paper, DI Fossilized Amber, Cracked Pistachio, Abandoned Coral (all new colors for me), Green CS Scraps, Cheery Lynn Dies(Words), Cottage Cutz Die(Leaves), Craft Foam.
Challenges:
Happy Little Stampers: They now have a challenge to case the designer. The card to case is by Kylie shown on left. I pretty much copied everything including theme, colors and layout.
Happy Little Stampers:  January CAS challenge is to use Smooshing.  This is a fun technique.
Just Us Girls Challenge: # 324 Word Week Thank You
Die Cut Divas:  The challenge is new technique/die/stamp/colors, something you're using or trying for the first time.  Using these Distress Ink colors for the first time and doing smooshing with inks and acetate for the first time.
