Happy Fall, Y'all !

2nd Post today. I enjoy making fall cards so I am back with another one with an apple tree.  Don't you think of apples with fall...smell of apple pie baking, warm apple cider?  l'll be entering this at Joan's Gardens Challenge to
  • Include Leaves on your card
  • Fall colors
  • Tree and/or bird
  • You must use a product sold at Joan's Gardens.
  • I printed a digi from my files from Birdie Brown on white cardstock and colored the tree with Copics and the leaves and apples with pencils and OMS. I stamped the SU Sentiment with Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink and added green with Memento Bamboo Leaves Marker. The bird that landed in the tree was cut with a Marianne Die from a scrap of red cardstock. I glued the image to a mat of textured green cardstock and a base card of Pumpkin cardstock.  My leaf embellishment of Green Vellum paper was made with a PSX Maple leaf stamp  using SU reinkers as shown in my earlier post today.
Products used available at Joan's Gardens are Marianne Die, E60000 Spray Adhesive, Vellum Grafix Pad, and Memento Ink Pads.  www.atjoansgardens.com

    Fall Colors Are Showing

For the Timeless Tuesday Challenge, we are asked to be inspired by the photo on the left  for our creation. I have taken inspiration from the pots of flowers and the pumpkins on display for a fall card. I stamped the Mums from Flourishes "A Year In Flowers" with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with copics and cut them out. I stamped a GKD stamp (Buds & Vases) of a pot in Memento Potter's Clay and colored with Copics....tried to give the "terra cotta" pot an aged look. The pumpkin stamp from Stampin Up was stamped 3 times with Memento Rich Cocoa and colored also with Copics and cut out. I placed an embossed mat of SU Green PP on the card base of GKD Pumpkin Spice CS. Arranged my cut out elements using pop up dots to give dimension to the flowers and pumpkins. Added sentiment from SU stamped in Potter's Clay ink and cut with Nesties Die. Finished with orange Dew Drops.

Prayers and Wishes for a Cure

I combined 3 challenges to create this card as a reminder that we wish and pray  for a cure for breast cancer. I am using a Sassy Cheryl digi image "Simple Prayer" that I colored with Copics and used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Challenge. The card base is cut from Pink CS with Nesties Lacey Circle die and layered with a circle of Lace PP by Teresa Collins. This was topped with the image layered on Pink CS and trimmed with Pearls, Ribbon, and a Prima Rose. Sentiment was stamped in Memento Rose Bud ink with Stampin Up.

Challenges:Tuesday Morning Sketch: Use Sketch #114 and add Pink to your card and only combine with a maximum of two other challenges.
    Sassy Cheryl Challenge:  Thinking Pink.
Party Time Tuesday: Show us your shapes and /orBreast Cancer Awareness.

I gave a twist to the sketch so my image would be vertical.

    Autumn Birthday Card

My DH's birthday is on October 14th, so this card is for him. Thought I add a calendar to the card so he'll remember the date. LOL. This is an inside joke that he will understand. I used a copy of a calendar that I had made and reduced the size to fit the card. Added some fall leaves stamped with some old Hero Arts stamps on Copper CS squares...embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. I used a base of Bronze Metallic CS with a mat of a pattern paper that I have been saving for years....just too pretty to cut, but thought the metallic look and design of leaves was perfect for this card. Added a mat of  Copper CS to the calendar and highlighted the date with the same CS. Sentiment is an old SU Birthday stamp also embossed in Chestnut. Like this card for an Autumn Birthday.
    Challenges:
    Card Positioning Systems: Sketch 237
Our Creative Corner:  Include number or numbers on your project.
    Party Time Tuesdays: Anything Goes

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

    Black and White Plus One

Simplicity's One Layer Challenge this week is to make a black and white card with just a single spot of color.  Just keep the spot of color rather smallish, so it stands out all the more! This bear stamp was sitting on my counter and said "Use me!" So that I did. Stamped in black ink on folded white card. Colored in the balloon with red copic and added Glossy Accent ....can you see in the photo?  Added the birthday sentiment and I am done.
    Other Challenge:
For Fun Challenges:  Color challenge-use black and white plus one other color.

Stamps: SU "Birthday Bears" and GKD "Candles on the Cake"
    Ink: Memento Black Tuxedo
    Paper: GKD PL White
    Copics

    Have a happy day!

Summer has gone by so quickly and winter is not far away so it is time to enjoy the beauty of fall .  I  used these fall stamps from Mark's Finest Papers to create a card for the coming season.
