Blue Christmas for Phindy

At Phindy's Place the challenge is Blue Christmas. I thought the "Improve With Age" image was a great choice to use for my card. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out and used a Webster's Page from "Waiting for Santa & Sweet Season" petite papers as the background that I embossed with CB EF Divine Swirls and sponged with blue distress inks. Added some liquid pearls to the mistletoe.  Added a Christmas sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps embossed in gold EP. Used a Blue CS from my stash as the base.  Used Clearstar pen to add some highlights. I love this happy loving couple as my focus all dressed up in blues.

Hope this card makes someone smile.

Off We Go For A Fall Walk

Fall is in the air and what better way for a Dad to spend his time than to go hiking with the kids or "bears" that is. I used a digi image  "Off  We  Go" from Phindy's Place in a card for her challenge to use Autumn/Fall images and/or colours. I colored the images with Copics and sponged the background with Memento Summer Sky and New Sprout ink. Stamped a sentiment from GKD in Memento Potter's Clay. The background pattern paper is an old one in my stash from Adorn It and used Orange CS as base. Added a Vine Trim punched with a Martha Stewart punch and  layered this with a strip of the pattern paper and 3 metal leaf brads colored with Copics.  What better way to spend an Autumn day that walking through the falling leaves?

Nothing Better Than A Bear Hug

Since I was lucky enough to have won at Phindy's Challenge last week, I just had to enter again this week. I am doing more and more with digis that are so easy to print off and adjust the size to fit a sketch. I used  the image "Bear Hug" (another very favorite) that I colored with Red and Green Copics and Memento markers. I cut it using a Nesties Oval die to use in a Sketch from Tuesday Morning which I rotated for my design. I used Pattern Papers from BasicGrey Figgy Pudding scraps leftovers from last year.  Stamped a GKD sentiment with Versamark and Gold EP on Red CS. The sheer green bow that I added hides the verse in the photo. It reads "May the spirit of Christmas fill your heart with warmth." I thought this was fitting for the image that I used....hugging your bear fills your heart  with warmth.

Challenges:
Phindy's Place Challenge:  Use opposite colors from the color wheel. My choice was to use red and green.
Tuesday Morning Sketch #113: Shown below

Christmas at Phindy's

Hello.  I am back with a third card today. I am all over the seasons today....first a fall card, then Halloween, and now a Christmas card for Phindy's Place Challenge. Her challenge is to make a Christmas card. I used her digi image "Back to Nature" and colored it with Copics, sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky ink, and added 2 kind of stickles for snow. The image was cut with oval die and matted on a scalloped oval
of red. I used a sketch from Card Patterns shown below. Using  a base of red,  I added mats of Pattern Papers from BasicGrey Figgy Pudding and did a scalloped edge using Fiskars punch. Finished with a sentiment of an unknown source stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and cut with small scalloped oval die. Added some green rhinestones for a bit of bling.
Challenges:
Phindy's Place Challenge: Theme is Christmas
Card Patterns: Sketch #133 below.
Critter Sketch: Recipe challenge-Use 1 image, 2 different pattern papers, 3 embellishments, and 1 sentiment.
                        Card happens to follow recipe.

I enjoy all your comments.

Cutie Patootie Celebrates Love

This is my second card for today using another cute Digi, "Bear Hug"...this one is from Phindy's Place. I colored the image with Copics using some of the new pinks that I received for Christmas. Used distress inks and sponging on card base and mats to give a Distressed Look. Pretty in Pink

It has been awhile since I used a digital image from Phindy's Place so I printed this one out of  Petticoat Patty, such a sweet girl.  I colored her in pretty pink and gave a sponging of pink and stamped a sentiment on the image before matting in brown.
Using a great sketch from Friday Sketchers, I used a kraft base card with a mat of pink that I embossed and highlighted the dots with ink. I then added some brown pattern paper with design in pink and green (embossed too but hard to see). Attached a pink ribbon that I layered with a green one and added a flower of the 2 colors with a brad for the center. I think Petticoat Patty looks "right smart" atop the card. Finished with a little glitter on her petticoat and the bee above her head and on the pattern paper.
Challenges:
Phindy's Place Challenge: Make a thank you card.
Fridays Sketchers:  Sketch 121
Digital Tuesday Challenge:  It's all about the girls.
