Penguins on Parade

Hello!  Still playing with Christmas cards and challenges.  I found this cute penguin in my stash of clear stamps from the Winter Wishes set by Jane's Doodles.  Also discovered I had the same image in my digital images. I stamped him 3 times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics.  Added a sentiment from my stash.  Trimmed the image, outlined with Black Copic and attached to a Plaid Paper and then to a card base of textured green CS.

Christmas with Penguins

Welcome!  No, I am not ready for snow but these Penguins like snow and are dressed
ready for Christmas.  Since I was doing water coloring this week, I decided to do another Card with penguins that I water colored with Water Color Pencils and Distress Inks using a watercolor brush. This digital stamp from Pollycraft was printed on watercolor paper. I added some glitter with Sakura Clear Star pen and inked the edge of the image with Red Marker and attached to an Snowflake embossed Pattern Paper from Crate Paper Snowy Day Pad. The sentiment is from Creative Clear Stamps.

Penguin with Christmas Gift

 Hello!  Penguins are such happy birds, especially when dressed up for Christmas.  I water colored this Di's Digi with Distress Inks and Water Color Pencils after printing on Watercolor Paper.  I added some Sparkle Stickles to his Hat and Sparkles with Clear Star Pen to his Scarf and Bow on the gift.  Instead of using a sentiment I simply wrote Joy on the tag. The Stripe Paper is from American Crafts Hollyday Pad and Red CS is from stash.

Happy Penguin with a Gift

I have a really big Penguin to share today....he is the big focus of my card.  I normally would print a smaller version of this digi from Di's Digis that I had in my files but I decided to have him fill the card....after all he is for a challenge to use a penguin.  I colored the image with Copics and added some "Fur" to his hat with Stickles and stripes to his scarf with a Glaze pen. There is sparkle to the ribbon and fringe made with Clear Star pen but you know how hard that is to photograph and be able to see.  The Pattern Paper is from American crafts Hollyday pad as well as the sentiment which was printed on the margin of the paper.

Happy Penguins

Today I am sharing a card made for a few challenges.  In searching for a Penguin image I came across this image that I had saved from PC Crafters a couple years ago and thought what a fun card this would be.  Sorry the photo is a bit dark.  I printed the image and stamped the sentiment with black ink and snowflakes with blue ink.  I added Frosted Lace and Crystal stickles to the snowflakes and image for sparkle.  I attached to a black mat and a card base of blue cs.

Skating By in Snowflakes.

Every week I say I am going to do TMITA challenge early rather than waiting til the last minute but here I am again close to the deadline on Sunday night.  This week, the challenge at There's Magic In the Air from Pat P was to make a Christmas card and to include some snowflakes! I had wanted to use acetate and cut out snowflakes on my card but ended doing this card instead. I used one of my fave images from Paper Cupcakes "Flying By"...a skating penguin. The image was printed with a reflection and colored in pencils and OMS. I added some glossy accents, stickles, and used a silver pen on the skates. I attached the images to a background scene that I printed on Printshop and cut into an oval shape. Used a Cuttlebug EF Snowflakes on my navy base card and wiped it with Brilliance Ink Moonlight White to highlight the design. Cut a oval frame for the image and attached to the card. Finished by stamping Sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps with the same ink Moonlight White onto an smaller oval of  navy CS.
