Thanks with Flowers

Hello! Playing again with the combo of Black and White.  I used another old Flourishes stamp set Zinnias  by Marcella Hawley dated 2011 to create this card. Heat embossed both the image and sentiment with clear EP after stamping with black ink to give some shine.     Other supplies used: White and Black CS, Memento Tuxedo Black ink,  Clear EP,  Cuttlebug Argyle EF, Spellbinders Frame Die.  This was a great image to use since there are so many details.  I have used this stamp many times with lots of colors but this is the first time to simply stamp in black.

Challenge:
CAS on Friday: Challenge #149 Flowers
The Paper Girls Challenge: #167  Black and White

Tuesday Throwdown: #423 Embossing. Use heat embossing on image and sentiment and dry embossing on black frame
Retro Rubber Challenge: #102 It's all about Black and White.  Stamps are about 7 years old.

Christmas Ribbon

Hello!  Sometimes cards are inspired by just a bit of ribbon.  I was trying to think what to use on a card with the theme Gifts and came across some ribbon that I had won - black grosgrain that was printed with Gifts and Merry Christmas - and decided to use this as the feature on my card.  Used an old Annabelle stamp - a sleigh filled with gifts- simply stamped in black ink on white CS. Added 2 strips of the ribbon and card was finished.
Challenges:
Merry Monday Christmas Challenge: #262 Gifts
Really Reasonable Ribbon: Challenge #174 Anything goes with Ribbon Theme

Note Card with Music

I am back with another Black and White creation for Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge #258. I used stamps from MFP stamp set Just A  Note with Versafine Onyx Black ink on white CS and attached to a Black card base.  This makes a great note card....may  have to do a set for a gift.  I had to try a couple inks before I was happy with the results with Versafine ink.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.
Have a great day!

Scene in Black and White

Welcome to my studio! This card was made for the Challenge 258  at Speedy Fox and Friends for this week's  theme of Black and White.  Easy enough?  I used MFP stamps from Welcome Poppies and Big City sets with Memento Black Tuxedo ink and White and Black CS.  Using my new MISTI tool made this a snap to make!  I finished with just a touch of embossing in the right corner with a Cuttlebug Embossing Border Folder.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

Snow Season is Here

The first snow of the season fell yesterday and covered the ground and trees with winter white.  I spent some time  inside making some challenge cards.  For this one I used a Heartfelt Creations Sweet Memories stamp on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and embossed with Cuttlebug EF Divine Swirl.  I like the way the swirls in the embossing  compliment the sentiment.  I used a corner punch on 2 corners and wrapped the top layer with some old black and white check ribbon.  I attached to a mat of black and to a card base of white.

Challenges to enter:
Crafty Ribbons Challenge: Black and White
CAS-ual Friday CFC119: Use dry or heat embossing on a clean and simple card.
Shopping Our Stash #127: Use something already on your desk. The stamp was on my desk as well as the papers used.
