Using More of My Stash

Welcome! I am back with more Christmas cards that I made using up some of my stash. My goal is to use old items from stash to maybe make room for some new?   I used some patterned papers from   Webster's Pages, mats of green cardstock, white card bases, Memento red ink, and Christmas stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I quickly created these 4 cards to add to my stash of cards.

Christmas Carols from an Old Songbook

Hello!  I came across an old Christmas Carol Song Book that was a free giveaway from an insurance company in the 80's, I think.
I thought the pages of songs would make great Christmas cards so using some solid card stock and old patterned paper in my stash, I created these cards. I simply cut or tore the pages and attached to a layer of patterned paper and then to a solid color base. I distressed some of the pages by crinkling and sponging with Distress Ink.  One page I dry embossed.  Patterned Papers are from Webster's Pages and Cardstocks are Gina K Papers.
Challenges:

Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #578 Anything goes as long it's Christmas.

This was a great way to recycle the song book and use up old stash.

Angelique Christmas Card

Today I am sharing a card made with a scrap of patterned paper, some never before used stamps, and gold brads. I started with Neenah White Cardstock that I stamped with 2 angel stamps from Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP. I added some sparkly Stickles to the wings and robes. Added a strip of patterned paper that I edged with Pilot Gold Marker and embellished with Gold Brads. Quick and easy Christmas card to add to my stash.

Die cut with a Spellbinders Die and simply attached to a Gina K Black cardstock base. Really like this clean and simple masculine card!

Playing With Gina K Inks and Water

Hello! Second post today....something other than Christmas cards.

Today I have been playing with the Monthly Mix Challenge at Gina K designs. The challenge is to use Gina K Inks with water to create a card. I inked a panel of white GKD Cardstock with GKD ink Barely There and spritzed with water, but I did not get the effect that I wanted.....think the ink was too light to show. I stamped the panel with a GKD stamp from Thank You Friend set with GKD Black ink. Using a water brush and GKD Fresh Asparagus ink, I water colored the leaves and stems of the image. I die cut the image with an oval die and layered on to a die cut layer of GKD Grass Green cardstock. I finished by using a card base of Coral CS layered with the leftover panel and the layered image. I will add a sentiment when I use the card.
Challenge:

Die Cut Divas: January Challenge Theme Flowers. Used Spellbinders oval dies.

More Christmas Cards

Hello! Today I am sharing some Christmas cards made using patterned papers that were in a magazine that I purchased some time ago and filed away.  On the 2 bottom cards, I used one of the pattern papers as a layer on the card base before attaching another pattern paper as the focus of the card. on all 3 cards, I used a Pilot Gold Marker to edge all the papers and added several types of stickles to add sparkle to the designs.  Attached Gold Satin Ribbon bows to the Bauble cards and Pink Brads to the Santa card.  A Penny Black sentiment was stamped and embossed with Gold EP on each card. Used Pink and White cardstock as card bases.
Wish you could see the sparkle and texture of the stickles that I used.  Looks so good in real life.

Challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge: B is for Baubles
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges: 543 Use 2 or More Patterned Papers. Bottom 2 cards use 2 patterned papers and embellishments from stash.

Using Up Old Stash

Hello! One of my goals this year is to use up some of my cardmaking stash.  I have spent several hours making many Christmas cards using pattern papers, cardstock, stickles, embellishments, embossing folders, etc that I have had for a number of years. Today, I am sharing 4 of the cards that I made using HFC pattern papers with white card base and red mats and embossing with Cuttlebug Allegro EF. Three of the cards are stamped with Creative Vision Stamp (2009) with Memento Red ink.  The 4th Card was finished with a die cut from Creative Expressions that I cut from scraps. I added Glossy accents to the berries and Cardinals but that is hard to see in the photos.

Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge: Anything goes with Patterned Paper
ABC Christmas Challenge: A is for Anything Christmas
Dies R Us Challenge: #185 January Challenge is Anything Goes With a Die
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #578 Anything goes as long as it's Christmas
