Birthday Card

Hello!  I have a birthday card that I made inspired by the sketch shown below.  I began with some leftovers on my desk.  The background was made when I was playing with Distress Oxide inks which resulted in several backgrounds.  I like the pastels colors which I think has an uncluttered  and open look.  I think it fits into being CAS but some may not.  I used up some leftover circles that I die cut with various sizes and were in a bag of leftovers.   I arranged them according to the sketch and stamped a Gina K sentiment in Pink ink.  I really like the results.

Summer Bouquets

Hello!  This is a card that I made a few days ago but forgot to post.  I used stamps from Power Poppy Countryside Bouquet for the background and the main image.  The bouquet was water colored with Distress Oxide inks and a water brush. Other supplies: Circle dies, corner punch, Orange CS, White CS.  This stamp reminds me of the bouquets of summer flowers that I enjoy from my garden.

Challenges:
Power & Spark Challenge: Go Round and Round.  Round those corners, use a rounded mat or  make your entire card round.

Made with Real Leaves

Hello!  When I saw the inspiration photo at All the Little Things challenge, I immediately thought of  some patterned paper that I created a few years ago by collecting fall leaves, arranging them on my scanner, scanning them and printing my own paper design.  I made the quick  and easy card  by simply adhering a panel of the paper on an Orange Card base and attached words cut from Brown CS with Cheery Lynn designs.  I don't think this will be considered a real entry for the challenges but just wanted to share how you can make your own pattern paper with Little Things from Nature.

Time for a Cup of Java

My post today is a card that I made for the challenge Inspired by All the Little Things #24 shown below.   I started by creating a background with an Aqua CS that I embossed with a Woodgrain EF and inked with brown and caramel inks.  I stamped the Stack of Cups with a MFP stamp from Oh Beans set on Blue CS with Versamark and embossed with Clear EP.  Did some shading with markers and then fussy cut the cups.  Assembled the card with 2 shades of Kraft CS.  Added Thanks sentiment stamped with a Repeat Impressions stamp with Brown ink.

Orange Roses for Fall

Hello!  I was inspired by the colors and the roses in the photo inspiration challenge Fall Floral at Curtain Call.  I chose to use Gina K Stamps Old Country Roses to make roses with Memento Potter's Clay, SU Ruby Red, and Memento Rhubarb Stalk inks for the 3 step stamps.  I fussy cut the blossoms and chose to die cut stems with Memory Box English Rose Stem die cut.  I cut the stems and leaves from GKD Fresh Asparagus and inked them to highlight the details.  I assembled these elements on a background that I made with an EF Woodgrain, Scor-pal, Gray Flannel ink, Creamy Caramel ink, and white CS.  I placed it on a mat of Copper Metallic CS and then a card base of Rusty Orange.  The GKD sentiment was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Copper EP.  Finished with a bit of Orange Twine.  I must admit that the photo does not do justice to my card...did not capture the depth and texture.....it looks so much better in real life.  Trust me!

Daffodils in Bloom

Hello! The spring daffodils have been beautiful and are about finished blooming but they live on in my stamp from Repeat Impressions. I stamped it on White CS with Memento Espresso Truffle ink and colored with Copics.  I placed this on a mat of handmade design paper leftover from another project (using wax paper embossed technique) and a Green CS layer embossed with EF Gingham.  The edge of the Yellow Card base was also embossed with a Border EF but it is hard to see. I trimmed the edge of the card and attached a strip of the Green CS to the inside. The vertical sentiment from Repeat Impressions was stamped with SU Always Artichoke ink.
