Fairy in the Garden

This card was made for several challenges.  I stamped the fairy image from Flourishes Garden Fairies with GKD Black Onyx ink on white cardstock and colored with several Copic markers and sponged the sky with Memento Summer Sky ink.  I added some sparkle to the wing and dress of the fairy with Sukara Clearstar Pen. I stamped a second butterfly and fancy cut it and attached with glue dots to the image.  I used a sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches to assemble two pattern papers from MME Indie Chic Saffron on a card base of ivory.  Added 2 strips of a pink satin with organza ribbon and a ribbon and bow of yellow satin ribbon. Popped up the image with pop up dots to finish the  card.

Challenges:
Timeless Tuesday:#236 Double the ribbon
Tuesday Morning Sketches:  #214Sketch shown on left
Flutterby  Wednesday: Open Challenge-Anything goes with a fairy or butterfly

Postcard with Fairies, Butterfly, and Flowers

The challenge at Anything Goes Challenge Blog this week is the theme ..."MAIL IT" (So anything to do with mailing ...postcards, letters, envelopes, pictures of stamps.)  I was working on another card and had this pattern paper which I love on my counter from Graphics 45 "Once Upon a Springtime"  and thought this would work great for a "Mail It" Card. Using the sketch from Sweet Sunday, I starting building the card with a coral card stock that I aged with Distress Ink, layered with a floral paper edged with green marker, added a strip of paper with fairies sitting on postmarks, added the postcard cut from one of the pattern papers.  I punched a butterfly with Martha Stewart punch and built a flower using Stampin Up punches and added some yellow Glitter domes to these.  I will add sentiment to outside or the inside when I use the card.

Challenges:
Sweet Sunday: Sketch 181 Shown above
Anything Goes Challenge Blog: Mail It theme... used postcard, stamp, postmarks..
Flutter By Wednesday:  Flowers! Just remember to have your butterfly or fairy on your creation. I have it all covered.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

A Fairy Happy Birthday

Hello! I don't make many Fairy cards but I found this forgotten stamp and decided to ink it up for some challenges. This stamp was sent to my by Beate Johns last year. I stamped with black ink and colored with Copics and Clearstar pen on the wings. I cut out  the image and placed on a black mat and then on to an embossed mat edged with a narrow pink mat. Paper Inspired Card

Sometimes a paper can inspire a card's design.  I was trying to decide what to make for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge which is to use at least one circle and one square shape into  a card.  I had decided to use a layout from Sweet Sketch Wednesday that had  circle and square elements.  And then I came across this double sided paper and thought it would set off  the tiger lily that I already had colored. I used the designs in the DP for my stripes as well as for a sentiment. Thus my card evolved.

Supplies:
Stamps: Flourishes Tiger Lily from A Year in Flowers Set

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copics.
Papers: Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" Double sided paper with fairies and dots
White CS and Textured Green CS from stash
Copper Dragonfly Brads
Nesties Circle  Dies

Challenges:
Timeless Tuesday #122: I used circles and made my card square with a square frame inset.
Sweet Sketch Wednesday: Sketch 106...first time to do this challenge.
Flutter By Wednesday's:  Use the colors pink, orange and green on your creations. Just happen to have these colors in my card and have lots of Fairies.

Thanks for stopping by! Theresa
