Tag! You're It.

I was playing with the challenge at Tag You're It! and was inspired to do a 2 layer tag using pattern paper (used for both layers) and to make with a 3D butterfly design.  I had this paper from 7 Gypsies pad Conservatory out on my desk and  decided to create with it.  Since I found this challenge, I think I will enjoy making more tags.
Other supplies used:  Memory Box Pippi Butterfly Dies; Cheery Lynn Butterfly, Angel Wings, and Word Dies; Yellow CS; Yellow Marker; Eyelet; Raffia; Hole Punch

Challenges:
Tag You're It! Challenge: #26 Create a tag inspired by the one that  Marybeth Lopez made shown on right. Used a double layered butterfly and patterns in a similar layout to the challenge.

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

CASE a Birthday Card

Welcome!  Today I am playing with a challenge at TIME OUT Challenge to CASE a card by Deepti shown on the right and to use your own twist.  I always have a problem CASEing a card as I think I use too much of the design.  I chose to use the layout, theme of Birthday, colors of Black, Red, White and Yellow, heat embossing with White EP and the element of a jar.
My twist was to use die cuts for the sentiment and for the 3D flower cut in pattern paper with a brad center.

Supplies used: Heartfelt Creations Ball Jar Stamp, Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch Dies, Cheery Lynn Word Dies, Black and Red CS,  MME Quilting Bee Pad Pattern Papers, Versamark, White EP, Brad and Twine from Stash.

Other Challenges to enter:
Seize the Birthday: Anything goes for a Birthday
Tuesday Throwdown: Anything Goes

Have a great day! I love reading your comments. Theresa

Friends of Speedy TV Challenge

Father's Day is the challenge at FOSTV this week. I think a Father's Day Card should tell that person how special he is.  My father passed away several years ago but I always have special memories of him at Father's Day and he was a Fabulous Dad.  My card features the Special Lion stamp set from MFP.  I stamped the lion with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a Tan Card stock from MFP twice and colored the details of the image image with pencils, glaze pen and distress marker. I cut out one of the images and cut only the center of the face of the second  image that I attached to the full image with pop up dots to create a 3D effect. I hope you can see this 3D in the photo.  I stamped a sentiment from the same set on to a pattern paper with Versamark and heat embossed with Copper EP. I cut the letters D-A-D with a Cricut and also heat embossed them with Copper EP and attached them with the Lion to the mat of Pattern Paper. I added the twine with a Lion charm to the mat and attached all to a base card of the Tan CS to finish the project.  I like the effect of the Picket Fence White Distress Marker on the face....it is hard to see until the ink dries but it shows really white on the colored CS.

For those who enter the challenge at Speedy TV this week, you have a chance to win a MFP, a Heinrich Co stamp set shown:

Wild Thing and I Love You!

Here I am back with another wild animal card....these stamps from Mark's Finest Papers are so fun to create with.  I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black on GKD PL White CS and colored with Copics.  I made this tiger 3D by stamping and coloring  3 times and cutting out portions of 2 of the images and layering with pop up dots.  I cut the image with square Nesties die and matted with a square of Copper Metallic CS. Used a Sakura Clear Glaze pen on the eyes and highlighted the whiskers with a Spica Pen. I used a Card Base of White and matted that with Black CS. Added some stripes of Gold Metallic Ribbon and added sentiment stamped on Black CS with Versamark and embossed with Copper EP. Cut this freehand and added atop the Ribbon.
Finally attached the 3D image ....doesn't that tiger have a great stare that comes right off the card?
Challenge Links:
Tuesday Morning Sketch: Sketch shown upper right.
Papertake Weekly : Truly Dimensional
A Spoon Full Of Sugar: All creatures great or small.
Crafty Caz Challenge: Furry Friends....might be some debate if this tiger is a "friend" but he is furry and was fun to use in a card.

Thanks for stopping by! Theresa

Card for Many Challenges

When I started this card, I was making it for the Cute Bears Challenge but then realized I was too late for that challenge. I then realized that the colors should be good for Stamp TV color challenge.  I finished it for that....has yellow, pimento, and greens from the colors to use from the DP shown on challenge.
Also meets requirements for:
Paper Take: do something different-use a fold or a technique or anything at all that you don't often do or have never done before.
A Spoonfull of Sugar: do 3d project
Lili Of the Valley:  create a summer theme
Project Tuesday: create a folded paper frame
Beary Scrap Design:  BSC#1 Theme May Flowers

This was my first time to do a folded paper frame and I used pop up dots that made it 3D. This was a fun technique making the frame.  My stamp has a summer theme - a bear watering summer flowers. I colored the image with pencils and OMS and paper pieced the dress and flowers. I also made the 3 D flower using a punch to make 3 punched flowers that I used pop up dots to attach together. Added dragonfly button. This was the most challenges that I have covered with one project!
Stamp: SU Bear Watering Flowers
Papers: SU Marigold Morning, SU Green PP from Simply Scrappin "Sunshine Garden"
DCWV Sunflower Print Paper form Spring Stack ( I stamped the back of paper)
Punch: SU Flower Punch
Nesties: Scallop Square
Dragonfly Button from Stash

Thanks for taking a look at my card!
