The First Day of Christmas

Hello!  I have another Christmas card to share in July.  I am using a stamp from a set "Twelve Days of Christmas"from Creative Stamping magazine that I got last Christmas.  This is my first time to use this stamp and I plan to make a series of cards using all 12 days. I was inspired to create this card by the sketch below from Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  I stamped the Partridge in a Pear Tree with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold EP on White CS.  I colored the image with Memento Markers and Copics Gold Marker. I trimmed the bird and rounded one corner with a punch. I used a Card Base of GKD Metallic CS, a Strip of Moonlit Fog CS embossed with Divine Swirls EF. Stamped the sentiments with Versamark and heat embossed with Black EP.  Hope you can see the gold embossing in the photo....really pretty in real life.

Oh this is gorgeous and what a great set of stamps they look like they are going to be - i'll have to try and remember to come back and see the others - did you know that the term was actually "part of a Juniper tree" and over the years it got changed to partridge in a pear tree! Thanks for joining us at TSOT this week.
