Fun with Poppies

Hello!  I made this card using a die-cut to create a stencil from cardstock.  I used Memory Box die Darling Poppies to create the stencil and also used some masking with the cut out pieces when I sponged DOI Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint with the made stencil to the panel of white cardstock.  Using a rubber mat, I also dry embossed the image using the same die after applying the ink.  I stamped the GKD sentiment with DOI Peeled Paint and heat embossed with Clear EP.  Added some embossed dots with Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Border for more texture.   I attached the image to a pink card base in an asymmetrical fashion for interest.
Challenges:

Birthday Wishes

Hello!  I made this card using a die cut to create a stencil then I sponged the edge of a white cardstock with the stencil using DOI Picked Raspberry. ( I used Modern Flower Card Wrap die from Simon Says Stamp - the die cut is shown in the photo below.)  I added a rounded green border to the stenciled area that I cut with two circle dies, one with stitching. I stamped a Gina K Design birthday sentiment with same pink ink and then dry embossed the flourish and words below the sentiment with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I inked the raised design with DOI. Finished with a GKD Grass Green card base.

Another Card Using a Die as a Stencil

Hello! I love how this card turned out-looks better in real life but hope you see the dimension and texture of the embossing.  I used Memory Box Splendid Clarkia die to cut a stencil and also to do dry embossing on the image.  Used Distress Oxide Inks  Candied Apple and Peeled Paint to color with the stencil. Used Wild Honey and Stardust Pen on the centers of the flowers. Stamped the Happy Little Stampers sentiment from Doodled Flowers. Added card base of Coral and mat of Grass Green.

Playing with a Stencil from Dies

Welcome!  I received inspiration for this card from a video by Sandy Allnock who used stencils with distress inks.  I made a stencil by die cutting Memory Box's English Rose Stem from heavy white CS.  I placed the stencil on white cardstock and inked the Rose with Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint.  I placed the cut out flower (which I had leftover when I cut the stencil) over the inked area and did another layer of ink on the flowers.  This added more depth to the flowers.  After finishing the inking,  I did an additional step by dry embossing the image with the die which added some texture.  I decided to leave this as a one layer card but added some Picked Raspberry ink to the edge of the card.  Finished with the sentiment made with GKD stamp and die from Tropical Blooms.
