Tulips for a Sketch

Today I made a card with my favorite color combo Pink and Green and also used a favorite technique of coloring with Copics.  I love making cards with a flower theme and this is made with a favorite flower - Tulips.  I am using a sketch shown below from the challenge What If? Wednesday from The House That Stamps Built.  The stamp is Repeat Impressions "Vase of Tulips" that I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on GKD White Cardstock. I colored with Copics and cut with a Nesties Circle die with the vase hanging outside the circle and sponged with Distress Ink Spun Sugar before removing from the die.  I paper pieced the vase with a scrap from a paper that I made using the shaving cream technique. Using scraps of pattern paper,  I assembled the elements on a card base  of GKD Grass Green Cardstock.  I used Nesties Square dies to cut the pattern papers.  I embellished  with a Pink Satin Ribbon.  What a fun sketch and a great stamp!
Copics: R11, 20, 21, VG 03, 63 ,Y 02

Last of the Shaving Cream Paper?

This is the third card in a series that I have made with a background paper using the shaving cream technique that you can see here at Stamp TV.  I made this card for Linda's Blast from the Past challenge which I entered last night just in time for the deadline and am sharing with you today.
In the shaving  cream, I used SU reinkers Pretty in Pink, Orchid Opulence, and Old Olive. I love the effect that I acheived with these colors. I stamped the butterfly with Orchid Opulence and colored with green pencils and markers to match up with the background. Finished with the sentiment matted on green CS cut with Nestabilities Labels.

Stamp: GKD "Hope is Faith" and "Inspiration Mosaic"
Ink: SU Orchid Opulence
Papers: Ivory and Green CS from stash

Thanks for fluttering by my way.

Bridal Bouquet

Brenda's challenge at Stamp TV this week is to use the cover of "Brides" magazine as an inspiration for a card.
The challenge at City Crafter is to create anything wedding related.
I decided to make a card focusing on a bridal bouquet in the colors of pink, green, and ivory. I used the shaving cream technique to create a background of marbleized pinks and greens which I think is quite romantic. This was my first attempt at this and the house has smelled like shaving cream all day. I stamped 3 roses with pink,  covered with versamark, and heat embossed with White Pearls EP for the effect of shiny. Assembled the cut out roses into a bouquet using foam dots and added green stems and satin bow. I completed my card using a sketch from Stamping 411 challenge (see right photo) using mats of green, pink, ivory, and the print paper and added more ribbon. Meant to add pearls to the streamers but forgot. Finished with a sentiment "Best Wishes".
Entered into Artful Inkables Challenge: Use a new technique, go out of your comfort zone, make something completely different than you normally would make.
Stamps: GKD "A Year of Flowers" and "Pressed Flowers"
Ink: SU Pixie Pink
       Memento Angel Pink
CS: From stash
Thanks for dropping by.
