A Flutter of Butterflies

Welcome!  Today I have a card made with another Stacy Stamp from my stash.  I made several attempts to use this Butterfly stamp and finally ended up with this design.  I used DOI Spiced Marmalade to stamp the image on White CS and then inked that with Versamark and heat embossed with Clear EP. I then colored in the butterflies with Memento Cantaloupe marker and sponged the remaining white area with Memento Summer Sky ink.  I trimmed the panel and attached to a card base of Gina K Yellow CS.  Stamped the GKD sentiment with  the DOI.

Birthday with Tulips

Welcome to my studio! Today I am taking time out from fall theme cards and used a Tulip stamp from Stacy Stamps to create a square birthday card.  This corner stamp needs a square design to best utilize the stamp. I stamped the tulips with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on heavy White CS and colored with Copics. I let the tulips be the star of the design by simply adhering to a Green card base and adding die cut words cut in the Green CS with Cheery Lynn dies.

CAS on Friday: Challenge #163 Use die cut words on your card.

Tulips in Bloom

Hello! Thanks for stopping by.  I have been playing with a lot of sketch challenges and made this card for CAS(E) this Sketch shown below.  I was inspired by the tulips blooming in my garden and used a Tulip Stamp from Stacy Stamps and teamed it up with sentiment from Power Poppy Vibrant Thanks set.  Stamped the tulips with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.  I adhered this to a Green CS mat and then to a card base of Patterned Paper...liked the pattern with my tulip design.  Included the patterned paper in the photo  so you could see the full pattern.  I seldom use patterned paper as a base but pleased with the result.

Spring Tulips

Hello!  I cannot wait until the tulips are in bloom.  So far this spring, crocus are the only blooming bulbs that I have, but the daffodils are starting to open.  I was inspired by the photo challenge (shown below) at The Shabby Tea Room to create this card with a stamp by Stacy Stamps using multi pastel colors. I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Gold EP.  I colored with Copics G40,21, R20,RV11,22,Y02,11 and just love the colors of the tulips.  I used a White Card Base with layers of Yellow and Pink and Cheery Lynn Die cuts of Pink CS to finish. I think this card just screams SPRING.
 Challenges:
The Shabby Tea Room: #249 Rainbow of colors. Took inspiration from the multi colored tulips.
Sparkle and Shine : Photo Inspiration- Inspired by the yellow and pink. Used gold embossing for sparkle.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says April Shower and/or Spring Flowers. My card features Spring Flowers.
