Celebrate America

Hello!  I made this card in celebration of the 4th of July which is almost here.  Where did June go?
I was inspired by the photo inspiration at CAS-UAL Friday challenge.  I used fireworks and bright colors for my card.  I began by embossing a metallic gold panel with Darice EF Fireworks and sponged on some bright colors using Distress Oxide Inks highlighting the explosions and stars. I used a sentiment from Verve American Hero stamp set that I heat embossed with Versamark and Gold EP.  The card base is a Turquoise CS but I inked the edge with all the Distress Oxide inks that I used.

Fun card! The Distress oxides look great on the metallic cardstock. I’ve not thought of that before. Have a safe and happy 4th!
