Digital Art Challenge

Hello!  Playing something new.....a digital challenge.  I found Digitally Made challenge blog which allows only digitally made projects.  This week's  Challenge #4 is Pets/Animals.   This is not a card but a project of a photo that I enhanced using Photoshop Elements.  I began with a photo of an Alligator taken by my DH at Ding Darling Wildlife Reserve.  I opened the photo in PSE and used an artistic filter to make it look like it was a watercolor painting.  I then applied a theme of Old Style Paper, added a frame, and added texture with a Craquelure feature.  This is my first attempt at this kind of challenge and I have much to explore and learn. 

I like the final look.....might print and use in a frame or use as a desktop.

Card from My Garden

 

Sometimes I love making cards with photographs.  I am sharing this card that I made just for fun using a photo of one of my gardens from last June.  This card was not made for any challenges but I felt compelled to create it.  Using Photoshop Elements, I used some filters in editing to give a more artistic look to the picture making it more of a painting than a photo. The look is very subtle and may not be seen that well.  I used a card base of Bazzill Textured cardstock and a mat of multi colored pattern paper from Color Wash pad from  Pinkpaislee which has a great watercolor look.  I simply attached the printed image.  I also added a border of embossed flower with a Cuttlebug EF and a sentiment from Paper and Such stamps with Memento Lilac Posies ink. This picture was shot by my favorite photographer, Al, my DH.

My Calendar for 2013

Each year I make several calendars for Christmas gifts. This year the theme of most of the calendars was Florida Shore Birds using photos by my husband.  I would like to share this with you. I used Print Shop and Photoshop Elements to create the calendar.
