Summertime, Summertime.........

The weather feels like summer is here to stay. The thing I like to do in summer is spend a lot of time outside especially in my garden  and by the pool watching the flowers grow, birds sing, butterflies fly, hummingbirds hum and the sun shine. A lot of card challenges this week were to make a card inspired about summer and what you like to do. I made this card using a image from Paper Cupcakes called "Catch a Sunbeam". I used a layout from Sketch Girl shown below.
I positioned the image behind a lattice fence on patterned paper and used ribbons to show sun rays coming down.
Challenges entered:
There's Magic in the Air: Kim wants us to use ANY PAPER CUPCAKE Image and be inspired by a vintage looking Hawaii poster by Kerne Erickson. (Came up with the lattice from that photo)

Cupcake Craft : Catherine's challenge is SUMMER DELIGHTS to make a card illustrating what summer means to you.... or even just using Summer colours...the choice is entirely yours.
Our Creative Corner: This week  they want you to make a card inspired by what summer means to you.
Papertake Weekly Challenge: Card should have a summer fun theme ie beach, swimming, BBQs, gardening, that sort of thing
Stamp Something: Stamp something with a digi.
Image: Paper Cupcakes Digi "Catch a Sunbeam"
Stamps: Sentiments- GKD Elegant Flowers and Pressed Flowers
Papers: DCWV Patterned Paper
White and Brown CS from Stash
What are your favorite summer time activities?
Hope you have sunshine to enjoy today !
