One More Card Before the Year Ends

I was having fun with some of my sewing theme stamps that have been neglected and came up with another entry for Less Is More Challenge theme Homespun  For this I used some old Mark's Finest Papers stamps from the Sew What? set.  I even did the inside of the card and included a photo.

Other Supplies used: Memento Lady Bug and Toffee Crunch Inks,  Silver Jelli-ink Pen, Cuttlebug EF Herringbone, Red and White CS

Sewing Some Love

Hello!  The card that I have posted today could be for Valentine's or used to send some love at any time.  I created it with some challenges in mind.  The stamps are from Gina K's Nana's Needlework and Needlework Sentiments.  I heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark and Red EP and the Basket was done with Versamark and Chestnut EP.  I colored the Yarn with Memento Lady Bug Marker and the Basket with Brown Copics.  I embossed the white layer with Cuttlebug EF Gingham and placed on a card base of GKD Tan Leather CS.

Challenges:
Less Is More: Weeks 255 & 256 Theme is Homespun.  Fun challenge to use some of my needlework stamps and gingham EF.

Thank You Tag

Hello! I have a tag to share but I missed the challenge that inspired me to make it.  I used elements from the inspiration tag from Tag You're It! challenge of acetate for the base, a 3D flower, and even the Dragonfly.  The Flowers, Leaves, and Thanks were cut with Cheery Lynn Dies.  The Dragonfly was stamped on a bit of acetate with Stazon and fussy cut.  The almost silvery Vellum that I used for the flower and smaller leaf was recycled from a page in a Cadillac flyer. Added Ribbons of black and silvery organza to the tag.
Challenges:
Cheery Lynn Design Challenge: #217  Anything Goes. I used dies from Build a Flower sets and the word Die Thanksgiving.

From the Heart Bear Greetings

Hello!  I am a sucker for any Bear Theme stamp and I just had to have this cute one which I just found.  There is a challenge to use this particular stamp at From the Heart  blog and it ends today so I must hurry to post.  I printed the Bear with Gifts on white CS and colored with Copics with the addition of some Gold EP, Wink of Stella, and Liquid Pearls.  I cut the image out with a circle die and added to a red circle and then a layer of Striped Pattern paper before attaching to a white card base. I kept the card pretty simple and used a Sketch from the same blog as I found the card challenge.   I hope it is allowed to add the card to both of the challenges.

Challenges:
From the Heart Stamps: Digital Stamp of the Month Challenge.... use Gift Stack Teddy Bear which I purchased.
From the Heart Stamps: #132 Challenge -I {heart} card sketches with a Twist of Distressed Edges.

One More Christmas Card

Hello!  I thought I was finished with Christmas cards for this season but I came across Penny Black Saturday Challenge for December.  We are to make a Christmas card and use  a Penny Black image.  I have used the Penny Black Wonder Collection stamp for the Tree and Sentiment. I stamped the tree with Memento Cottage Ivy ink and heat embossed the Sentiment with Gold EP.  I trimmed the tree with a star stamped with a GKD stamp and balls of gold punched with a hole punch from Gold Metallic CS. I framed the tree with a Gold Metallic CS embossed with Darice EF Stars using a Spellbinders die and attached to a card base of coordinating Green CS.
Other Challenges:

Happy New Year

Hello!   Another rainy day!  Better to stay in and play with paper.
I was playing  with some embossing to make a card for Stamp TV's Mix It Up Monday Challenge-Emboss is Boss.  I stamped the Cardinal from GKD's Peace and Joy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then embossed with Clear EP.  I like how clear embossing on black ink  looks and use it often rather than using black EP which can be messy.  I learned that tip from some of my stamping club friends.  After coloring with Copics, I added versamark to the Holly leaves and embossed with the Clear EP to give shine.  I used Versamark Pen on the uncolored berries and embossed with Red EP. If that was not enough embossing, I dry embossed the Pattern Paper that I used as a frame with Cuttlebug EF Gingham.  Sorry to say the embossing does not show up as well I'd like, but it is there. I also heat embossed the Peace and Joy Sentiment with Gold EP....this shows up well enough.
Other Supplies: Neenah White CS, Pebbles Pattern Paper, Spellbinder Die, Wink of Stella, Misti.
I included this second photo to give another angle ( for some reason the left edge of the card shows a camera distortion that I could not straighten).

Other challenges:
Crafty Sentiments: Happy New Year Challenge
Stamp Ink Paper: Challenge #28 Anything but Christmas.

Snowflakes and Snowman

 Second Post Today
Welcome!  I am playing with some Foil Pattern Paper that I received in a magazine for Christmas.  I thought the snowflake theme paper with silver foil accents was perfect to make a card for the Winter Wonderland challenge at The Shabby Tea Room (Graphic shown on right).  I stamped a Snowman designed by Marcella Hawley with Memento Black ink and colored with Copics.  I cut it with an oval die and matted on a scalloped oval of Silver Mirror Metallic CS.  The Sentiment from Creative Clear Stamps was heat embossed with silver EP, fussy cut, edged with blue ink, and attached with foam tape.  I assembled the card with White card base, a layer of the sparkly Silver Metallic CS, the Pattern paper with Foil Accents and the image. Added some more shine and sparkle to the image with Wink of Stella and Stickles Frosted Lace.

Other Challenges:
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says make it sparkle. Lot of sparkle from the Silver CS.

Winter Love

Hello!  Today is a very rainy day.....a good day to play in the studio.  So I created some cards to enter in  recent challenges.....played with winter and snow themes.  I pulled out a Heartfelt Creations stamp Snowman Melt Your Heart.  I stamped part of the Snowman Head ( left off the bird on his shoulder and the holly on his hat) on white CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored him with Copics and added a couple of white CS circles to give him a body.  I added some gems for buttons and a punched Red Heart to his hat. I attached him to an embossed layer of Blue CS which I stamped with a HFC Sentiment with Memento Lady Bug ink. After attaching this to the Card Base of Red,  I popped up a Red Foil Heart that I have been hoarding.

Winter Snow

Hello! The fall of snow is a Wonderful thing...at least when there is not too much of it.
I love creating with this old PSX stamp named Christmas Village  and have used with several techniques.  This time I simply stamped with black ink on white CS and colored with pencils and sponged the sky with blue ink.  Added some Stickles Frosted Lace for the snow and sparkle. I framed the scene with a border of Black CS and attached to a card base of Dark Green CS.  The Peeny Black sentiment was stamped in Black Ink and heat embossed with Clear EP.

Challenges:
Cards In Envy: Theme is Let It Snow.  Card size is A2 and fits in envelope.
Shopping Our Stash: Theme is Let It Snow. Use a snow scene.

Tree of Angels

Welcome!  I recently won a Memory Box Die A Choir of Angels from Classy Cards 'n' Such and just had to use it for a Christmas Card featuring a tree decorated with the Angels cut from Metallic Gold CS.  I hung them on the tree stamped with GKS Joyful Holiday set and gold embossed along with a sentiment from the same set.  I simply attached to a Pink Cardstock with Gold Foil accents.

Challenges:
Memory Box Challenge: #7 Season Greetings.  I was happy to get this die in time for the challenge.
Happy Little Stampers: CAS Challenge Favorite Technique.  Used a fave - heat embossing.
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon Says Die Crazy

Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Theme is Merry Christmas

I was pleased that I was able to get a photo that does justice to the embossing and gold foil accents.
It did take a few tries.....love how the details of the angels were captured.

Birthday Card with Colors

Welcome!  This card is for the Release Party Challenge at Stamp TV.  We are to create a card with 5 or more colors.  I chose to use a GKD stamp from A Year of Borders that I colored with Memento Markers Cantaloupe, Dandelion, Lady Bug,  Lulu Lavender, New Sprout, and Rose Bud after I stamped the border with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on White CS.  I cut the words with Cheery Lynn Dies on the White CS layer and attached the white layer to a Green card base.  The hard part was attaching the white bits of the cut letters to the words.   I guess it would have been simpler to just cut the words  in the Green CS, but I chose the difficult way.   I like the way it came out.

Starry Christmas

Hello!  I seem to be using some of the greens in my stash which I seldom use.  I do not know the origin of this particular green but it seems to work for this card.  I embossed the green with a Stars EF and added to a card base of white.   I printed the Santa image using a Silhouette file with the Cameo and cut with a circle die and adhered to some green circles and added to the card.  To finish I popped up some die cut gold stars found in some leftovers and added Merry and snowflakes cut with Cheery Lynn die.

Christmas Tags

Hello! Today I am sharing a set of Tags that was very quick to create.  I used stamps from GKD Joyful Holiday set that I heat embossed with Gold EP on white CS tags.  I colored the image with Copics and edged the tags with Pilot Gold Marker.  I layered the tags on Green CS and used Rick Rack to finish.  The Rick Rack matches the red in the flower better than it shows in the photo.

Challenges:
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says Tag It.
Stamp TV:  Mix it up Monday Challenge is to Make a Quick and Easy Tag
City Crafter Challenge Blog: Week 292 The heat is on...use heat embossing.
