Hello! Today I am serving cupcakes for the challenge at Fusion. I used a Cupcake Template freebie from Stamp TV. I printed the cupcake and icing on pattern paper and yellow CS, fussy cut and attached to an embossed oval of white CD. I used a Polka Dot pattern paper as background and a Cameo Cut Birthday sentiment attached to a Yellow Grosgrain ribbon all assembled on a White Card Base. The Birthday EF is Cuttlebug.
Welcome! I am back to more timely seasonal cards with one for Easter. I made this one with Silhouette Cut files of a bunny and Happy Easter words and added some items from my leftover box....part of a green Flourish cut out and part of a green Doily cut with a Cheery Lynn die. I arranged all on a card base of Bazzill blue CS to come up with a simple card. Have you ever seen a Blue-eyed bunny?
Hello! I am running late posting my entry for the Less Is More challenge to CASE a DT card. I chose to CASE Chrissie's card shown on the right. I copied the layout and used a Floral stamp for my design. My added touch was using the spotlight technique. The stamps that I used were GKD Say It With Flowers (sentiment) and Flowers are Forever (flower) with Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the spotlight area with Copics Y13, RV14,23 and Memento Green Marker.
Hello! I know winter is almost behind us but there are still challenges with winter and Christmas themes. I found this digital image Snowman Couple in my files from Crafty Sentiments and just thought I have to use their happy faces on a card. I kept the design fairly clean and simple. I colored the image with Memento markers and stamped the Annabelle Sentiment in Memento Lady Bug ink. I found a pattern paper from a Crate Paper pad that I thought coordinated with my colors and used a Gray Card base.

It's a rainy day in Ohio...a good day to stay in and make cards and post on my blog. And yes I am still making Christmas cards. I am sharing this card that I made for the Merry Monday challenge. When looking for a tree image to use I came across a Penny Black set Wonder Collection that I received for Christmas (a freebie in a card magazine) and never used. I stamped the tree and sentiment from the set on GKD Ivory CS with Memento Cottage Ivy ink and trimmed to the correct size. Using a Ivory card base, I added a layer of green Houndstooth pattern paper from Pebbles, a layer of DCWV Red Foil CS, and topped with the image. For sparkle, I attached red rhinestones to dress up the tree. This looks much better in real life ...hard to capture the foil CS in a photo.
Today I have a card that I made for Runway Inspired challenge using a photo of a dress by Nonoo for my inspiration. I created an abstract background that looks like a swatch of the fabric in the dress design. I used watercolor paper with Distress Ink Broken China and Memento Tuxedo Black ink to create the look and layered this on Black CS and a base card of Blue. Added some pops of red color in the Sentiment and Circles. Stamp is Winnie and Walter The Big, the Bold and the Happy and Ink is Memento. Finished with snippets of ribbon.
For the new release at GKD, Gina is having a Challenge to make a card using your own background paper made using stamps and ink! I made a background with two GKD stamps and Memento inks on white CS. I cut it to size and layered on Green CS adding a Polka Dot ribbon and a layered Sentiment with bling. I used one of my favorite color combos.
Stamps: GKD A Year od Flowers, Tropical Flowers, Always Autumn (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Rose Bud, Bamboo Leaves
Papers: White and Pink CS from stash, GKD Grass Green CS
Spellbinder Label Die
Bling and Ribbon from Stash
I love reading all your comments. Thank you.
Good morning! Today I am playing with colors that I seldom use....purples and lavenders. I was inspired to use these colors by the photo inspiration in the Fusion Challenge and I also used the sketch too. When I was looking for a floral stamp to use, I came across a Martha Stewart set that I bought for $1.99 many years ago but had never taken out of the packaging. The flower stamps were great for my Fusion card as well as Darnell's NBUS challenge. I also found a background that I had made but never used. The background was made with white glossy paper that I embossed with 2 EF's, one of which I inked showing the design in purple and I also sponged with blue ink. Finished with a sentiment embossed with gold EP.
Challenges: Fusion Card Challenge: See graphic on right. I used colors and floral theme from photo with the sketch. NBUS Challenge #4: Darnell has another challenge for us to use Never Before Used Schtuff with a theme of Anything Goes. I have used NBU Martha Stewart Stamp set and also NBU Glaze pens in Purple and Blue. 613 Avenue Create Challenge: Anything Goes with Option of Purple Seize The Birthday: Anything Goes with focus on Sentiment.
Mine is Anything goes.
Supplies: Stamps: Martha Stewart Clear ....no name on stamp. GKD Birthday from The Northwoods
Ink: Versamark, Memento Elderberry, Grape Jelly, Lulu Lavender, Summer sky
Gold Embossing Powder
Glaze Pens Purple and Blue
EF: Cuttlebug Divine Swirls and Stylized Flowers

Hello! Thinking thoughts of Spring! In this card, I have used up scraps of a pattern paper and yellow and green scraps. The flower was made with 6 ovals and one circle cut with Nesties dies. Leave were cut with Susan Garden leaf dies. I fussy cut the word Spring and layered on die cut label of green. No stamps were used in the making of this card, only papers and dies.
Hello! Tulips will soon be blooming and that means spring will have arrived. I love the Tulip Bouquet stamp from Repeat Impressions and have used the colors Pink and Green pulled from the photo Inspiration from The House That Stamps Built and Tulips and Hat colors from Simon's Inspiration board.
Hello! Easter is just around the corner. I made a CAS card using a fussy cut out of a lily from a Dutch Gardens Catalog ( See photo of page that I used on right). I got the idea to use something from a magazine from the challenge from Mod Squad to use a magazine, gift catalog, or any other periodical to find something to be somewhere on your card. I used the sketch from CAS on Sunday challenge. I have more lilies cut out to use on other cards.
Stamp: Hero Arts Easter Greetings
Ink: SU Regal Rose
Papers: White CS from stash, Pink CS's from Brazzill
Hello! Happy Spring! Spring brings garden catalogs and I clipped this picture of Crocosmia from Dutch Gardens to use for a card to enter in a challenge from Mod Squad to use a magazine, gift catalog, or any other periodical to find something to be somewhere on your card. You can use it just as a background, etc. I used a potion of the photo from the catalog as my focus on the card adding a ruffled seam binding, a Cameo cut word Thanks, and a Memory Box die cut butterfly to finish the layered card. Cardstock was from my stash.
Challenges: Mod Squad Challenge: Magazine Madness- use something from a magazine, gift catalog, or any periodical on a card.
Hello! Thoughts of spring come with the beginning of March and bring visions of spring flowers.
My spring card is made with the Repeat Impressions image of Tulips Bouquet and a sentiment from GKD Stippled Nature. I colored the flowers with Copics after stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white CS. I used a base of Yellow with layers of Green CS and an embossed Yellow CS. I finished with a bow of Yellow Satin ribbon.
Here we are on the second day of March, already! May spring be around the corner soon and the luck that it brings for St. Pat's Day! I hope to send some Irish Luck and Blessings with this card later this month. I used digital image and sentiment from Meljen's Designs that I colored with some Copics and a Pilot Gold Metallic marker. I used Gold Metallic CS for the base and added some gold foiled accent paper corners and strip from scraps.
How far away are the daffodils of spring??? Looking forward to gathering bouquets of these lovely flowers. For now I will have to settle for Repeat Impressions Stamp of them on a card. I colored these with Copics in a very light touch and added some green ink sponging before attaching the image to a Green Circle and assembling the card with Green Base, Yellow mat and a Pattern Paper section. Decided to wait to add sentiment when I determine the use for the card.
