Hello! I am making an effort to use items in my studio that I have never used or seldom use. I have several stamps from Stampin Up that I have not used. They were part of a purchase that my DH bought years ago when a friend gave up stamping and sold him a lot of her supplies. It was about the time that I seriously began stamping and it was a lot of fun to receive all those goodies.
I dug out this Butterfly (2000) stamp and Happy Birthday (2001) stamp that I think looks great together on my layout. They are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics Y06,Y17 and N4. I used Sakura Clear Star for glitter on the wings of the butterflies but alas, it hardly shows in the photo. I used Yellow Card Base and a layer of some old Stampin Up pattern paper. I added a narrow satin bow tied with 3 knots (one for each butterfly)....first time I used knots this way.. My DH thinks this card has a lot of motion ...from the flight of the butterflies, the diagonal stripes, and the scrolly script.
Hello! I recently received some new stamps that I won from Repeat Impressions and could not wait to use this Sunflower Stamp on a card. I love all the great stamps from Repeat Impressions and enjoy all their challenges as well. This is a personal endorsement, not a paid advertisement.
For my card, I stamped the Sunflower on Ivory CS with Memento Espresso Truffle ink and colored with Copics pulling colors from the pattern paper that I used from Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky pad. I assembled my design following theWhat If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge #S2315 from The House That Stamps Built. The Repeat Impressions sentiment was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I finished with some Dew Drops strategically placed over the sunflowers on the corners of the pattern layer and a couple of punched out sunflowers on the corners of the image.
Hello! My fall card really looks better in real life than in this photo. I made this for some of the many fall/ autumn challenges. I used the sketch from Tuesday morning but rotated to a horizontal layout. I made the background with leaf stamp and distress inks. I actually added a gold ribbon tied around the strip of ribbon after this photo was taken....will have to add another photo.
Supplies used: Stamps from Gina K Always Autumn, Memento Tangelo and Espresso Truffle inks, Distress Inks, Green Copics, Ivory CS, Rust CS, Pilot Gold Marker, Vesamark, Gold EP, Bit of Leaf Ribbon with Metallic Thread, Spellbinder Die.
Hello! I have a tag to share today that I made for Tag You're It! Challenge #31. I like the way Jeanne used a button on her tag in the photo below so I copied that idea as well as being inspired by the Fall Leave theme and the use of gold.
Supplies used: Rust Textured CS, Gina K Leaf Stamp from A Year of Leaves, Gina K Sentiment from Always Autumn, Versamark, Gold EP, Pencils, Sequins, Gold Metal Button, Red and Rust Twine.
Welcome! No, I am not ready for snow but these Penguins like snow and are dressed
ready for Christmas. Since I was doing water coloring this week, I decided to do another Card with penguins that I water colored with Water Color Pencils and Distress Inks using a watercolor brush. This digital stamp from Pollycraft was printed on watercolor paper. I added some glitter with Sakura Clear Star pen and inked the edge of the image with Red Marker and attached to an Snowflake embossed Pattern Paper from Crate Paper Snowy Day Pad. The sentiment is from Creative Clear Stamps.
Hello! I am not a glitter kind of crafter.....too messy.....but for the Mod Squad Challenge I decided to use some glitter to bring Sparkle to my Card. I printed Birds on a Wire and a Sentiment digitals from Sparkle and Sprinkle Bird Song Digital file that I won from a challenge on Mod Squad. I actually recolored the birds to red before printing on White CS. I added Gina K Prismatic Red Hot Glitter to the birds and colored beaks and feet with Orange glaze pen. I simply finished by adding to a Red Card Base.
Hello! Penguins are such happy birds, especially when dressed up for Christmas. I water colored this Di's Digi with Distress Inks and Water Color Pencils after printing on Watercolor Paper. I added some Sparkle Stickles to his Hat and Sparkles with Clear Star Pen to his Scarf and Bow on the gift. Instead of using a sentiment I simply wrote Joy on the tag. The Stripe Paper is from American Crafts Hollyday Pad and Red CS is from stash.
Hello! This sketch challenge from CAS(E) this Sketch #141 brought to mind Halloween for some reason. I used a GKD Jack-o-lantern stamp that I won in a grab bag and combined it with some ribbon and Halloween Confetti from my stash. The sentiment is GKD Tag Lines set. Quick and Simple ....CAS! My DH had me add more spiders on the side.
Other Challenges: Stamp TV: STV15MON38-Time for Fall card -use fall theme or colors. Really Reasonable Ribbon: Challenge #126 Orange you glad it's Autumn with ribbon or trim.
Have a great day! I love reading your comments.
Hello! I started off to make a green card and that is what I got....all green. Not another color in sight!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for my design since it had circles as also in the photo inspiration from Sparkle & Shine Challenge. I was going to break up the color with a bit of white but I ended using 4 shades of Green Card Stock, Memento Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart inks, and green sequins. The Heart was cut from a Foil Shamrock Confetti and added in with the sequins.
Other Supplies: Power Poppy Sassy Succulents stamp set, Cuttlebug EF Tiny Bubbles, Nesties Circle Dies, Sukara Clear Star Pen, and foam dots.
Hello! I have spending some time with some of my favorite things. For example, one of my fave bear stamps from Repeat Impressions, fave Challenges, and a Paper Pad from MME called My Favorite Things. I came up with this card using a favorite technique Paper Piecing. How appropriate that the paper reads "These are a few of my favorite things." No verse needed for this card.
Other supplies: Kraft CS, Ivory CS, Copics, Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, Red Glaze Pen, Susan's Garden Leaf Die, Heartfelt Creations Flower Die, Oval Die, Cuttlebug EF Swiss Dots, Brad.
Hello! Today I have a tag for Challenge #30 at Tag You're It! We are to make a tag inspired by the one made by Nancy Penir shown on the right. I decided to use the cupcake theme and used a 3D die cut Cupcake from Valentine Crafts found in my stash. I sponged DI Spun Sugar on a precut tag, attached the die cut, added some music notes and circle foil confetti, and Cheery Lynn die cut words of brown CS. Tied on ribbons of Pink and Brown. The confetti did not photograph very well....it is actually red, pink and gold foil.
I also decided to make a card using the same tag. I embossed an Ivory Card with the Cuttlebug EF Happy Birthday and colored the raised area with the Spun Sugar and attached the tag.
Supplies: Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily Die, Sizzix Susan's Garden Pansy Dies, Nesties Circle Die, White and Lavender CS, Lilac Pattern Paper, Verve Sentiment Stamp, Memento Sweet Plum Ink, Pearls and Lacey Ribbon from Stash.
Other Challenges; Simon Wednesday Challenge: Simon says Die Crazy. Used dies for Doily, Circle, and Pansy Mod Squad Challenge: Make Flower the Focal Image of a card. As You Like It Challenge: Favorite Die and Why. I actually used 3 dies here. I guess I have to say the circle die is my most favorite because it the most used and versatile of all my dies. The ABC Challenge: R is for Recipe. I used Flowers, Dies, and Purple in the middle row down but also have Pearls, Purple, and Lace (Doily) from the bottom row. 613 Avenue Create: #141 Anything Goes
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great day!

Hello! When I saw the photo inspiration shown on right for the challenge at The House That Stamps Built, I immediately thought of using Vellum to replicate the look of the photo. I was inspired by many of the photo elements including the colors, layout, tree and moth(butterfly). I liked the ombre look of the colors of the sky. I began by sponging the back of a cream Vellum sheet with Distress inks Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Antique Linen and some Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Using a circle die I made a round mask and added some DI Squeezed Lemonade also to the back. Then I embossed the Vellum with Darice EF Leafy Tree and inked the raised area on the top side with Memento Tuxedo Black. I love the glowing look of the scene. I stamped Repeat Impressions Vertical Thanks with black ink and embossed with Clear EP. The Small Butterfly from Repeat Impressions was stamped on the Vellum and embossed with Zing Chestnut EP. I also colored the back with Distress Inks and then fussy cut. I attached the Vellum layer to a Ivory Card Base and then made a 1/4" Frame of the Ivory CS to go on top. I did this to avoid using glue or tape on the visible area of the Vellum.
Hello! Are you looking forward to falling leaves?
My card today is a quick and simple CAS and also a One Layer. I stamped GKD leaf and sentiment stamps from A Year of Leaves by Melanie with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on GKD Ivory CS and simply colored in Autumn colors with Pencils and OMS. This stamp set is one of my old time favorites for fall cards. I added some score lines for interest and texture to finish my design.
Hello! The last few days have felt like fall is here but today should be warming up again to summer temps. My card today reminds me of trips to the nearby lakes when the trees are in their full fall foliage. I have used a stamp from Repeat Impressions Rocky Shore Vista to bring that memory alive on a card. I stamped both the image and sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink on white CS and colored with Copics and Markers. After layering on Green and Honey Mustard CS, I added a cutout embossed leaf leftover from another project. The Honey Mustard layer was embossed with EF Forest Branches.
Hello! My card today was created with some pattern paper, a die cut, silk flowers and a bit of ribbon. The vintage camera theme and colors were inspired by the Photo shown at The Shabby Tea Room. See below. I selected a pattern paper from MME Chalk Studio 2 pad as a starting point and added a Flourish cut with Cheery Lynn Die from Green CS and added some Silk Flowers with brads from my stash. Layered this all on a Coral card base with a stripe ribbon( inspired by the photo). I finished the inside with a Graphics Fairy digital image of a vintage camera and a computer printed sentiment that I printed on Photo Paper to keep with the camera theme.
Hello! Another Christmas card for a couple of challenges. I used a Silhouette file for Santa and his reindeers cut from Black cardstock. I added this this to a Navy CS that I stamped with a GKD Star, Creative Clear Stamp Sentiment, and sponged with Brilliance Moonlight White ink. Attached to a Glossy White Card Base.
Challenges: ABC Christmas Challenge: R is for things beginning with a Letter R. Used 2 Reindeer on my card. Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge: #245 'Twas the Night before Christmas. That's the night Santa comes! Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra:Anything Christmas
Have a great day! I love reading your comments.
Hello! I was playing with a never used Spellbinders Die from the Shapeabilities Pendant Lattice set. I cut one of the die from DCWV Foil cardstock and placed on glossy white CS. Added a couple of cut outs from another one that I cut in Green Foil. I cut words using Cheery Lynn Dies and attached to the pendant. Placed this to a Card Base of Green CS. The hard part of this card was getting a decent photo with all the shine from the foil. I was inspired by the sketch from below.
Welcome to the studio! I know that you have heard me say that Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers ....and I am using one of my favorite stamps on this card. I knew when I saw the challenge from Just Add Ink I had to pull out this much used stamp from Flourishes Zinnias set. I stamped the image with Memento Espresso Truffle ink on ivory CS and colored with Copics and added some Yellow glaze to the centers. I stamped the sentiment with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
I used dies from Spellbinders Devine Eleoquence to create layers of the image with Pink CS on a Yellow card base. Love this die set. Finished with a yellow satin bow.
