Asian Flavor for Joan's Gardens Challenge

Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #28 is to use a flower as the focal point, use Black and Red, use an embossing folder, and have either a stamped or die cut border at the bottom.  The combination of red and black seems to bring to mind an Asian or Oriental theme and that is what my card turned out to be. I used an unknown Pattern Paper in my stash with a red and black grid design, added the punched out border made with a Lattice Martha Stewart punch ( hope that counts as a die cut border) , used flowers and brad that came with a paper pack from MFP's, black pearls, and stamps from MFP's stamp set "Asian Delights".  All placed on card base of Black CS.  The sentiment and Chinese character were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black. The pattern mat was embossed with Cuttlebug "Wicker Weave" EF.  I have had the Black Flowers (layered on card) forever and this was a perfect use for them.

Also to enter this card at No Matter Which Challenge, a new  site with their first challenge this week.  Challenge is Anything Goes...my fave.

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa
