Put a Feather in Your Hat

I love the interesting challenges that Joan comes up with at Joan's Gardens. Her Weekly Challenge #17 is: Stamp a background, do a Vintage Card, use Olive and Tan Colors - and any accent color, and  use some kind of feathers (Joan said you might have to kill a chicken LOL). No chicken was killed or injured in the making of this card. I plucked a feather from an old red boa.  I think I met all the requirements.

Joan's Gardens: Challenge listed above
Oldie But A Goodie:  Challenge is to use die cuts and punches. Punched a hole for the feather and used scalloped oval dies. Both stamps are way older than 6 months. (Purchased at garage sales a couple years ago.)

Stamps: Anna Griffin Hat Stamp and Unknown Background Sonata Stamp

Inks: Distress Ink Antique Linen, Tea Dye, and Barn Red, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Copics: E30,53,55, R43,36, G20,99, YG67
Papers: Ivory, Tan, and Green CS from Paper stash
Dies: Nesties Scallop Ovals
Hole Punch
Green Ribbon, Red Feather, Red Flower Soft

I enjoy all your comments. Thank you. Theresa

The red really popped as the accent color. Lovely card, and great idea to use the musical background.

Congratulation Theresa, your card is so pretty. I tried to get mine up, but still having trouble with blogger. I got the article, but not picture. Need some help.
I'll get the hang of it yet, just have to do it more than once or twice a year. Too busy getting organized.

Hi Teresa,
Your card is great! It is right up my alley as I love music as I play piano in the morning at church and organ at night. I love the little hat and the pretty colors you used it is so nice they go together so well.. The music paper in the back really sets it off !!! I am happy you for you that your card was chosen #1..
