Silke created a sketch (shown below) for the challenge at Timeless Tuesday this week. What a fun sketch! I used my doily and geo dies to create my card in lavenders and yellows and used one of my fave Flourishes set "A year in Flowers". Image was colored in Copics.
Feeling a bit royal today with the "royal wedding" and all that! I found this Crown Pattern Paper (unknown source) in my stash....think it was in a garage sale find as well as the stamps. Guess that is not so royal???
So I decided to use the crown paper but it was kind of an unusual color..limey green ...toned it down with some distressing. Added in this "Very Regal" Sketch from Card Patterns and came up with this card. The hat reminds me of one that Queen Mum would wear.
Challenges- found some royal challenges too: Oldie but a Goodie: Fit for a Queen..stamp is from a garage sale bought last year...from 2003. A Spoon Full Of Sugar: All Things Royal....have my royal paper and hat. Card Patterns Sketch.: #112 shown belowWee Memories: Girls just wanna to have fun...what's more fun than being Queen for the Day?
I do not use purple in many projects but I made this card for Annabelle Stamps Blog color challenge to use Blue, Purple, and Cream. I used a Flourishes Iris Stamp on Cream CS that was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I cut the image with a Nesties circle die and placed on a blue doily mat that I cut with a Cheery Lynn die. I used the same Blue CS for the base and matted that with a Purple mat embossed with Cuttlebug EF Swiss Dots and punched the corners with a Fiskars Lace Corner Punch. I attached the image slightly off centered just because I wanted to!
Added some lovely purple rhinestones for some bling.
Challenges: Annabelle Stamps: Colors blue, purple, cream Cute Card Thursday: Make card with "no text".
What is your favorite color of Iris?
Thanks for stopping by! Theresa
Time for the warblers to be coming our way. This card was made following a sketch from Sweet Stop...they have great sketches that can be used over and over. I stamped the bird using Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copics to represent a Parula. Added some shine with Clear Star pen. Used 3 DP's with a lot of sparkle. Flower and bird were from the paper designs in the collection.

I finished with a sentiment on Aqua CS cut with a die and attached with ribbon. Challenge: Timeless Tuesday #114

The theme for Challenge #22 at Really Reasonable Ribbon is Violets & Lilacs & Plums. Oh My!
One of my spring time favorites lilacs will soon be in bloom and I love their fragrance. My card shows a Lilac but no fragrance is included. I made this flower with a Sizzix punch that punches 3 sizes of flowers and one leaf. I punched the multiple flowers in 3 different shades of violets and purple, 2 leaves in green, and arranged on a CS scrap with glue dots. I then trimmed the edge so I would have one assembled blossom to attach to the card with dimensional pop ups. I finished the flowers with pearl centers. The card base is the same green CS as my leaves and I layered it with glittery, sparkly patterned floral paper from DCWV. (Click to enlarge to see all the sparkle). Used a corner punch to round the edges of this mat and added a ribbon. Attached the Lilac to card and finished the Lilac with a lovely purple ribbon bow.
I decided not to stamp a sentiment directly on the card which would look crowded but made a tag using a Spellbinder ribbon Tag Die that I layered with a stamped scrap and added ribbon pull with a pearl. The tag slips in underneath the blossom. Bottom photo shows tag pulled out.
I plan to use this for a Mother's Day card and using a verse inside for Mother.
Today I have a cheerful card with cheerful colors.
At There's Magic in the Air, Ildiko brings a color challenge to use a combo of Green, Yellow and Orange! Lollipop Crafts has a sketch challenge shown on lower left. Used a Paper Cupcakes digi "Hello Sunshine" that was free at TMITA this week. I colored it in Copics with some glazed highlights and cut with a circle die. I placed this on Geo-die Cut layer of yellow PP which I layered onto a green circle. Used a card base of white that I embossed and highlighted the raised surfaces with green ink. Added a strip of wide ribbon layered on green PP strip to the base. Added sentiment below the ribbon and attached the image layer.

Love the Geo Die that I used in this card. Cut the design with only one cut from a Pattern Paper that has designs on each side. After doing the folds, I layered on a circle of white CS and then onto a Scallop circle of light blue. This was attached to another circle scored across the top to create the inside of the card. I finished the center of the card with the floral image stamped on a smaller circle and colored with markers and sponged. Finished with a ribbon and sentiment on a sponged oval.
I have never made a collage card but when Colleen at Speedy the Cat's Challenge asked that we make one, I was up for the challenge. I decided that I wanted to use some of the great wild animal stamps from Mark's Finest Papers that are so fun and when I found the perfect pattern paper in my stash, this card came together very quickly. I stamped the sentiment in the center as a focus in the darkest ink to make it stand out. I then stamped 4 additional images-elephant, giraffes, tiger eyes, tree- directly on my PP. I then added a giraffe print ribbon making a ruffle on the side. I stamped another sentiment on watercolor paper and tore it out and popped it up with dimensionals. My finishing touches were the pearls colored with green Copics for the tiger eyes and a giraffe charm sewn on with twine.
I created this card using a new Geo-Die that I bought last weekend at
Cottage Stampers. I did a double cut with die on navy CS backed with white and then folded the cut edges and layered it on a circle of Wild Dandelion CS. Layered this on Arglye embossed white CS mat. Attached a butterfly that I stamped with navy ink on yellow CS and cut out...added some highlight with embossing marker. Added to card base of the yellow with ribbons, punched butterfly, and some dots(buttons) stamped and punched with a hole punch. I used colors from Stamp TV challenge and a sketch from Critter Sketch Challenge but I had date wrong for the sketch challenge...it ended last week but this card fits their challenge for this week...so nothing wasted.

I am not sure if I really like this card. I think it is a bit too much ...may redo with a different element rather than the stamped butterfly...maybe a simple circle with a textfor the center of the geo die. But for now I will use for these challenges .
It has been a while since I did any STV Challenges. This card is for this week's color challenge shown on the right. I used a sketch from Paper Players Challenge on lower right. I used GKD stamps "A Year of Borders" by Melanie and sentiment from "Take Flight".
Still rainy here in Ohio! Guess you can tell this card was inspired by the weather. I love this stamp from Wags 'n' Whiskers called "Love You Sis". I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black on GKD White CS and colored with Copics. I drew in some rain and added glossy accents to the umbrella and boots. Rounded the corners with EK Success punch and attached the image to Blue CS from Bazzill with strip of yellow and some "raindrop" gems. I generated the sentiment on the computer. Used a sketch from Card Patterns shown on left.
Challenges: Cute Card Thursday: Make a card inspired by the weather. Card Patterns Sketch:Flipped sketch for my card. Stamp Something: Theme is April Showers Prairie Fairy Fridays: Be inspired by a nursery rhyme. I chose "Rain, rain, go away!" Other supplies used: Copics: B 21,24,26,29, E 00,11,21,23,25,30, 31,33,34, R 81,83, 43, Y 02,06,13,26 Ink: Memento Summer Sky
My version of this song:
Ain't no sunshine when it's gone.
It's not warm when it's away.
Ain't no sunshine when it's gone
and it's always gone too long
anytime it goes away.
And I know, I know, I know, I know, I know,
I know, I know, I know, I know, I know, I know...........
Please drop by with a little sunshine!
Can you tell it is raining here? .....this is my third post today...had not planned to but decided to make this card and have to get posted for a challenge that ends tonight. I won this stamp "Surprise Sophia" from Paper Pretties but never have used....so I brought it out on this rainy afternoon after doing some housework. I made this for Paper Pretties and used a sketch from The Sweet Shop challenge blog and also tied in a color challenge from CR84FN. Stamped Sophia with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on cream CS and colored with Blue and Aqua Copics with some highlights using Sakura Glaze Pens. Did not make a list of Copics used. Stamped the sentiment with SU blue ink. Used cream card base layered with a mat of aqua that was embossed with Swiss Dots. Used 2 pattern papers from DCWV Linen Closet. Added some K& CO adhesive lace and a Chatterbox rub on butterfly.
Challenge Links: Paper Pretties: PWC149- use at least 2 different designer papers on your card .
Shown here is an Easter card that I designed using 5 layers of 2 types of white cardstock and a touch of gold. The card base is a textured CS and layered with a mat that is embossed with Cuttlebug EF Leafy Branch and edged with a Pilot Gold marker. Added a white organza ribbon with gold. Cut a scalloped oval and plain oval with Nesties dies. The cross which I cut out is stamped in versamark and heat embossed with Gold EP. Cross has a lovely leaf design . Attached this with pop up dots. Image is an Inkadinkado stamp purchased several years ago at Joann's. This is a re-design of a card that I made for my stamping club. I like the elegant and simple look and is one that I would send to a man. I have made a photo showing the inside which I printed on the computer.
I love these cute digis from Meljens and do not use them as much as I like. I made this card to enter in some of the many challenges for Easter cards. I printed this one a bit too large so I just cut out the bunny image and colored with Copics and Sakura glaze pens. I printed the Easter sentiment and cut with an oval die and colored the same. Found this scrap of Patterned Paper with eggs that I embossed with Swiss Dots and matted on a card base of green and white. Attached the Bunny and egg with pop ups and added organza bow. What a cute bunny!
Dee's challenge at Flourishes Timeless Tuesday is
Flowers, Flowers Everywhere! I am down to the wire getting my entry in so this will be short and quick. Sorry for the photo but I tried a new location and it not quite right but do not have time to redo.
I stamped the Crocus image from Flourishes" A Year in Flowers Set 1" and colored with Copics. I cut the image and a purple mat with Nesties circle dies. I cut the doily from Bazzill Green CS with Cheery Lynn Designs die "English Tea Garden" for another mat. My Card Base is a shimmery white CS from my stash. I layered this with 2 mats of an unknown Patterned Paper of light purple. I assembled the card using a sketch from AllSorts Challenge and finished with the sentiment and bling of green pear shaped stones. All done!

Cheery Lyn Doily "English Tea Garden"
I bought some new products this weekend including this Doily Die "English Tea" by Cheery Lynn Designs. This I bought from a local store Cottage Stampers in Hartville, OH. I cut a doily from a patterned paper by K& CO. Isn't it lovely? In the center, I placed a couple of die cut circles, one of pink and one of ivory. I stamped a sentiment from Creative Visions "Thank You" Set using Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. I attached this to a green card base with a strip of pink CS embossed with Cuttlebug EF Divine Swirls. I used the sketch 113 from Sweet Sunday Challenge but flipped some of the elements. Finished with a large pink gem in the center, organza bow and 3 pink rhinestones.

It is always fun to create with new products.

Here I am back with another wild animal card....these stamps from Mark's Finest Papers are so fun to create with. I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black on GKD PL White CS and colored with Copics. I made this tiger 3D by stamping and coloring 3 times and cutting out portions of 2 of the images and layering with pop up dots. I cut the image with square Nesties die and matted with a square of Copper Metallic CS. Used a Sakura Clear Glaze pen on the eyes and highlighted the whiskers with a Spica Pen. I used a Card Base of White and matted that with Black CS. Added some stripes of Gold Metallic Ribbon and added sentiment stamped on Black CS with Versamark and embossed with Copper EP. Cut this freehand and added atop the Ribbon.
Finally attached the 3D image ....doesn't that tiger have a great stare that comes right off the card?
Challenge Links: Tuesday Morning Sketch: Sketch shown upper right. Papertake Weekly : Truly Dimensional A Spoon Full Of Sugar: All creatures great or small. Crafty Caz Challenge: Furry Friends....might be some debate if this tiger is a "friend" but he is furry and was fun to use in a card.
Chelsea brings us this week's challenge at There's Magic In The Air. She want us to be super-uper creative this week and incorporate some fabric and stitching into our projects. I printed and colored this image "Beached Boat" from Paper Cupcakes using Copics. I stitched the image to a scrap of denim with a frayed edge and then to a red CS mat. I wanted this to have a distress feel so my stitching is slightly irregular. This was attached to a card base of White CS. I finished by stamping a sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers "Hello Sunshine" with SU Night of Navy ink.
In addition to the Paper Cupcakes Challenge, I am entering this at Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge that is to use stitching.
I've created this project for the"In My Beautiful Balloon Challenge" at the Moxie Fab World. We are to create a paper crafted project that incorporates a hot air balloon(s) in an innovative way. Cath says "It's fairly simple to create your own pattern for a shape such as this, so if you don't have any hot air balloon product lying around, don't hesitate to be inventive."
Well, I have no balloon stamps or products so I was inventive. We have a hot air balloon fest here each fall and sometimes the air currents bring them directly over our house at which times my DH makes pictures of the balloons as they fly over. I used one of his photos (showing several balloons above the tree line) for the background in this card. I edited the photo to look like a watercolor, printed it on watercolor paper for a more subtle look, and then embossed it. I used another of the photos to design my balloon shape, paper pieced it with scraps and embossed it to give it some textured details. I made the basket by weaving some thin paper strips again from scraps and attaching to the balloon with twine. I attached the balloon to my card with pop ups ...and can you see the people I drew in the basket? I rounded the upper corners and attached to a dark green card base. Finished the project with a sentiment stamped on watercolor paper scrap. I lightly sponged the sky and sentiment with blue ink.

At CR84FN Color Challenge, the challenge is a pretty pastel color palette of pink, cream and black. I have used a Cherry Blossom stamp on cream CS colored with copics and added some bees stamped in black...don't you always see bees flying around in the blossoms? Added a lovely ribbon of black and pink to complete the card. This is a clean and simple card showing spring blossoms and bees.

I love using copper embossing powder especially with animal stamps. Just had to ink up this giraffe for a card. Stamped and embossed sentiment and giraffe on a glossy oyster pearl CS. This worked well because ink does not dry well on this paper. Used EF and got the effect that the giraffe is feeding in the leaves. Had to maneuver EF in different angles to get this effect without embossing the giraffe.. I used a pod to add ink to highlight the raised surface. Used heat to dry. Attached to a mat of Copper Metallic CS (make a note to me to find more) and wrapped around some twine. Adhered to a base of green textured CS. Easy and quick card.
This will make a great card for a man.
